New Hospital to Open in Cumberland, Md.

Western Maryland Health System, a public health system based in Cumberland, Md., will open the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland on Nov. 21, according to the health system.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new $268 million facility was held Nov. 8.

The 585,000-square-foot, seven-floor facility will feature 275 beds and a variety of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services.
