Here are three things to know about the discussions.
1. Boone Hospital Center entered into exclusive partnership talks with MU Health in August after considering a wealth of partnership options and more than a year of negotiations.
2. Officials said they decided to end discussions after they were “unable to fully align at this time on the mission and strategic direction necessary for the proposed partnership.”
3. MU Health Care and Boone Hospital Center said their respective organizations remain committed to “providing patient-centered care to the patients and the communities” they serve. Both organizations indicated they would continue to be open to and seek out additional partnerships.
