St. Charles Health, which owns and leases hospitals and family care clinics in Bend as well as other Oregon towns, has provided management services to Mountain View Hospital since 1998. Under the proposed agreement, St. Charles Health would acquire Mountain View and its assets. This would allow Mountain View to eliminate duplicate resources, streamline patient care and have ready access to additional service, according to the report.
Mountain View and St. Charles are signing a non-disclosure agreement and will work through the due diligence process over the next few months. The boards of both organizations will make a final decision regarding the acquisition before the end of the year.
