The partnership will focus on maternal-fetal medicine, neuroscience and telehealth services. The health systems also plan to implement work groups made up of members from each entity that will develop programs to advance cardiology, pediatric health and oncology services for the Logan area, according to a Jan. 6 ScionHealth news release.

“Partnerships like this one are how we continue to build the skilled physician workforce West Virginia needs while meeting the health care needs of our communities today,” Marshall Health CEO Beth Hammers said. “Rural training programs are one way we know that we can help meet physician shortages happening in so many rural areas.”
