Valley View’s board will draft a letter of intent to begin the process, which will eventually lead to a definitive lease agreement, according to the report. Valley View has conducted several months of due diligence and opted to go with Mercy’s Oklahoma branch, which already had managed the hospital.

Under the deal, Mercy would “assume full operational authority” of Valley View and would make annual lease payments, according to the report. The transaction could be completed by this May.
