Terms of the sale have not yet been released. However, HMC/CAH has announced plans to replace the current 25-bed facility after transfer of ownership.
The sale is expected to be completed by March, and construction of a new facility is expected to take 12 months, according to the report.
BMH-Lauderdale is a critical-access hospital, and the only one in the Baptist system. HMC/CAH’s acquisition of the facility will be the company’s tenth acquisition, according to the report.
