Massachusetts’ Cooley Dickinson Cuts Vanguard From List of Potential Partners

Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass., has cut Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems from its list of potential partners, leaving Baystate Health System in Springfield, Mass., and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as the remaining two suitors, according to a report by The Republican.

Cooley Dickinson’s board voted last week to eliminate Vanguard from the running, saying it lacked the “clinical connections” the other systems offered, according to the report.

The hospital board is expected to select a single partner in February.
