Louisville-based Norton Healthcare, Baptist Healthcare System in Louisville and Florida-based Health Management Associates attended a meeting about the bidding process last month, but none has officially submitted a proposal, according to the report.

Norton officials have decided not to submit a proposal claiming the deadline was too quick and not enough information was shared about University Hospital. Baptist Healthcare System officials say they are still evaluating the request for proposals, and Health Management Associates officials have not made a definite decision.

University Hospital officials expect to select a partner the week of April 16, and the names of interested organizations will not be public until then.
