Legacy Healthcare acquires St. Matthew Center for Health

Lincolnwood, Ill.-based Legacy Healthcare has acquired Park Ridge, Ill.-based St. Matthew Center for Health, part of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, for $10.5 million and renamed the facility Avantara Park Ridge.

Avantara Park Ridge will provide rehabilitation services and post hospital nursing. “The Avantara brand focuses on creating care, intimate and unforgettable patient experiences, so we are eager to open our doors and welcome guests to discover a new way to recover in post hospital rehabilitation,” said Michael Manuel, vice president of business development and strategy at Legacy Healthcare, in a news release.

In the past year, Legacy Healthcare has also acquired Warren Barr Gold Cost in Chicago, Arlington Long Grove (Ill.), Aurora (Ill.) Rehabilitation and Nursing and Warren Barr North Shore in Highland Park, Ill.
