Labcorp acquired select assets of Providence’s laboratory business operated by its California medical group, including ambulatory lab draw stations, ambulatory laboratory facility and other equipment, according to an April 23 news release from the company.
Upon full integration, providers and patients in Northern California and Orange County who previously received lab service from Providence will have access to Labcorp’s clinical lab services, data and digital tools, according to the release.
Labcorp also completed its acquisition of Baystate Health’s outreach lab business and select operating assets, including laboratory service centers previously operated by Baystate Health throughout Massachusetts, according to an April 22 news release from the company.
The company has also established a regional laboratory in Baystate Health’s facility in Holyoke, Mass., where Baystate will continue to provide professional support anatomic pathology and select specialty testing at its existing laboratory, according to the release.
