Kindred Healthcare to Replace Hospital, Build Units and Centers in Five States

Kindred Healthcare will develop a new 72-bed long-term care replacement hospital in Houston as well as six hospital-based subacute units and a transitional care center in five states, according to a release by Kindred.

The Houston hospital will replace the Kindred Hospital Bay Area, which would be converted into a subacute facility following regulatory approval.

Kindred also announced that its PeopleFirst HomeCare and Hospice division has acquired Acclaim Hospice and Palliative Care, operating in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio.
