Kettering Health Acquires 50% Stake in Physician-Owned Hospital

Kettering (Ohio) Health Network has acquired a 50 percent stake in the Medical Center at Elizabeth Place, a physician-owned hospital in Dayton, Ohio, according to a report in the Dayton Daily News.

Kettering officials did not disclose the cost of the deal, which was reached in January.

As part of the agreement, Kettering officials will take over two seats on the MCEP board of directors. However, MCEP’s day-to-day operations will continue to be overseen by physician-owners.
