Indiana’s Morgan Hospital Approves Merger With Clarian

Morgan County officials have approved the merger between Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville, Ind., and Indianapolis-based Clarian Health, according to an Indianapolis Business Journal report.

Clarian has already approved the deal, which is expected to be effective Jan. 31.

Morgan sought a merger with Clarian due to declining payor mix. The deal will bring Clarian physicians, including needed specialists in cardiology and ophthalmology, to the Morgan facility, according to the report.

Morgan Hospital will be Clarian’s 17th in Indiana.
