As part of the agreement, Floyd will acquire the cancer center’s equipment, its physicians and the 39 employees of the center. The actual building will remain owned by a physician who founded the center in 2001, according to the report.
The center will retain its name after the acquisition. The full-service center will feature physician offices, radiation treatment and alternative services such as acupuncture, biofeedback and massage therapy, according to the report.
