The AFSCE Council 31 says Vanguard cannot afford the purchases because an analysis of its financial records shows that the company has accrued other debt in buying other hospital systems, according to the report. Vanguard hopes to close the deal on the Illinois facilities by June 30. The company has set a June 1 deadline to finalize the DMC acquisition, according to the report.
