Illinois Approves OSF Acquisition of Ottawa Regional Hospital

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board has approved the acquisition of Ottawa (Ill.) Regional Hospital by OSF Healthcare System in Peoria, Ill., according to a report by The Times.

Ottawa Regional will officially become OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center on May 1. The new board of directors at the Ottawa hospital will include 13 to 15 voting members with OSF selecting at least seven, according to the report. OSF is not paying Ottawa Regional as part of transaction, but the deal is valued at more than $58 million.
