HMA’s Venice Regional Medical Center to Align With UF&Shands Healthcare

Venice (Fla.) Regional Medical Center has formed a strategic alliance with University of Florida & Shands Healthcare, both in Gainesville, Fla., according to a Herald Tribune report.

Venice Regional is owned by Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associations, which is affiliated with UF&Shands.

According to the report, officials at Venice Regional believe the alliance could enhance local services, especially through teaching and research.
