Under the tentative agreement, AHN and Erie, Pa.-based LECOM Health will each obtain a stake in Warren General. The community hospital will also become one of LECOM Health’s affiliated clinical campuses.

As part of the agreement, AHN will also provide clinical staff for Warren General’s emergency and obstetrics programs, as well as hospitalist care. Warren General physicians will also have the opportunity to join AHN’s clinically integrated network.

Warren General will receive financial support from all three entities.

Officials from the three organizations said they expect to execute definitive agreements and secure regulatory approval for the transaction by the first quarter of 2018.
