Highline Medical Center in Washington State Sells Specialty Campus, Seeks Partner

Highline Medical Center in Burien, Wash., is selling its Tukwila (Wash.) Specialty Campus and negotiating a partnership with another hospital organization, according to a Puget Sound Business Journal report.

According to the report, Highline Medical is selling the Tukwila campus to Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, a national provider of psychiatric and chemical dependency services.

In addition, Highline Medical is talking with other hospital groups about a partnership. According to the report, the hospital has been struggling financially, having lost $18 million in 2011. The names of the potential hospital group partners were not disclosed.
