Henderson Memorial Hospital in Texas Close to Announcing Affiliation

Henderson (Texas) Memorial Hospital will likely announce its affiliation with a larger health system in within the next several weeks, according to a story from the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

The hospital had sent requests for proposals to numerous organizations in August 2007. Three proposed partnerships are under serious consideration — two from regional providers and one from a national provider.

The reason for the affiliation, as indicated by Henderson Memorial’s CEO Mark Leitner in the report, is to secure the financial stability of the hospital and support renovations that are likely needed in the next five to 10 years.
