After announcing plans to affiliate in February, Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare and Rockford (Ill.) Health System have received second requests for information from the Federal Trade Commission, according to a Rockford Register Star report.

Today was the deadline for the FTC to either approve the partnership or request more time to research the deal. The FTC has an additional 30 days to review the additional paperwork, but a Rockford spokesperson said it may take a couple of months to compile the information requested.

In the proposed deal, OSF would acquire Rockford, creating the OSF Northern Region.
