In January, HMC approached several health systems about a potential affiliation and has since narrowed the suitors down to a few potential partners. The names of the potential partners were not disclosed.

The health system is seeking a partner, in part, to secure the funds needed for a new, $200 million facility in Silverdale, Wash. HMC put plans to build the facility on hold in 2009 due to funding issues.
