Hackensack University Health, LHP Receive Approval to Own Mountainside Hospital

The Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services has approved Glen Ridge, N.J.-based Mountainside Hospital’s transfer of ownership to Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network and LHP Hospital Group in Plano, Texas.

The ownership transfer was first announced in February. The Commissioner’s approval is the final step in New Jersey’s certificate of need process and allows the organizations to move forward with the proposed transaction. The deal is scheduled to close in July, according to the release.
