Tennessee’s EHR incentive program will provide incentive payments to eligible healthcare providers and organizations for demonstrating meaningful use of EHRs. TennCare, the state’s Medicaid program, will be administering the incentive payments, which will be used to offset the cost of purchasing, implementing and operating a certified EHR system. Tennessee is the second state in the country to obtain approval and funding of its implementation plan.
