The move aims to provide Floyd Health access to financial resources and help the system grow.
Under the agreement, Atrium plans to invest $650 million into Floyd for the next 11 years. The money will go toward facilities, technology and workforce talent.
Atrium also plans to give $80 million to the Floyd Healthcare Foundation.
“This strategic combination will help continue Floyd’s success and will allow us to be more responsive to the needs of our communities through additional investments and resources,” said Kurt Stuenkel, president and CEO of Floyd Health.
