The board of the 171-bed hospital voted yesterday to reject purchase bids from Health Management Associates and HCA.
The hospital announced it would seek a partnership or a sale in August, and the four systems presented their proposals earlier this month.
The board is expected to choose between Orlando Health and Florida Hospital by March 1. Health Central has vowed $100 million for capital improvements over five years, while Orlando Health would provide $120 million in investments over five years, according to the report.
