Fletcher Allen Partners’ Merger With 2 N.Y. Hospitals Receives State Approval

The New York State Department of Health has approved the affiliation between Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Elizabethtown (N.Y.) Community Hospital and Fletcher Allen Partners in Burlington, Vt., according to a Press Republican report.

The organizations announced the agreement in March after signing a letter of intent. The letter of intent was approved by the board of Fletcher Allen Partners and Plattsburgh, N.Y.-based Community Providers, which owns CVPH Medical Center and ECH.

According to the report, the affiliation took effect Jan. 1 but is still subject to confirmation by the New York Supreme Court, which is expected within 45 days.
