Faxton St. Luke’s, St. Elizabeth Medical Center in NY Explore Merger

Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica, N.Y., and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, also in Utica, are beginning to negotiate the possibility of merging, according to a local WKTV report.

Officials expect the process to take 18-24 months, according to the report. Combined, the organizations have approximately 4,900 employees and operating budgets of more than $535 million.
