Nashville, Tenn.-based Essent Healthcare is in negotiations with the 115-bed Brown County Regional Healthcare board to buy Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio, according to a report by the Business Courier of Cincinnati.
The county board chose for-profit Essent for the sale, which is expected to take 60 days to finalize.
Under the proposed agreement, Essent will assume the hospital’s debts and contract obligations.
