Prospect first announced a preliminary agreement to sell Crozer to ChristianaCare in February. ChristianaCare said at the time that they expected to close the deal in June.

Edward Aldag Jr., chairman and CEO of Medical Properties Trust, said in an earnings conference call that Prospect is still expected to sell holdings in other locations.

“Certainly for Connecticut that is their expectation. I’m not sure that Prospect feels that way about Pennsylvania anymore,” Mr. Aldag said.

ChristianaCare said on Wednesday, “Our due diligence process is ongoing. We have no news to share at this time.”

Neither party has begun discussions with Medical Properties Trust about a new deal.
