Competition for Salinas Valley Memorial Merger Narrows

Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Healthcare plans to move forward with proposal plans from Natividad Medical Center in Salinas and HCA in Nashville, Tenn., according to a Central Coast News report.

According to the report, Natividad’s proposal may have an edge because it would allow for control of the hospital, cash flow and future investments to remain local thus, benefiting the community.

SVMH has not announced a deadline for a final decision on the merger.
