Under the agreement, the city will transfer its ownership of the community hospital, including $14 million in debt and pension obligations, to Asante, which will continue to run ACH as a general hospital for 15 years and contribute $10 million in capital improvements over the next three years.
Asante has pledged to “make every effort” to offer employment opportunities to ACH’s current staff, according to the report.
