CHS divests Arkansas hospital

Subsidiaries of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems have sold Harris Hospital in Newport, Ark., to White County Medical Center of Searcy, Ark.

After the divestiture, CHS affiliates operate nine hospitals in Arkansas.

CHS operates 205 affiliated hospitals in 29 states with an aggregate of approximately 31,000 licensed beds.
