Catholic Health Initiatives Finalizes Purchase of St. Luke’s Health System

Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives has completed its acquisition of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System in Houston from the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.

The definitive agreement reached in April requires CHI to pay $1 billion to establish the Episcopal Health Foundation and another $1 billion for capital improvements at the acquired system, which will now be named St. Luke’s Health System.

The organizations did not disclose other financial terms.
