Hospital officials also applied to designate E.J. Noble as a critical access hospital this week, according to the report.
As part of the agreement, the state department of health will provide a $2 million short-term relief loan to E.J. Noble, and CPH will issue and forgive a $300,000 loan and provide a six-month grace period for its management fees. Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, N.Y., will oversee the hospital’s laboratory for the time being, according to the report.
