Maryland’s Washington Adventist Hospital Names Joyce Portela President

Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md., part of Rockville, Md.-based Adventist HealthCare, has named Joyce Portela president, according to a hospital news release.

She replaces Jere Stocks, who has been named senior vice president of Adventist HealthCare and chair of Next Century Health, an Adventist HealthCare initiative.

Ms. Portela previously served as senior executive officer of Washington Adventist.
