California’s Community Hospital of Long Beach to Merge With Long Beach Memorial

Community Hospital of Long Beach (Calif.) is currently undergoing due diligence to merge with MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, according to a Gazettes report.

The hospital announced last August it would merge with MemorialCare’s Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The deal is expected to close in June, according to the report.

Community Hospital was closed by Catholic Healthcare West in 2000 but reopened nine months later as an independent community hospital.
