The vote will allow Physicians for Healthy Hospitals to purchase Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, Calif., Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City, Calif., and Hemet Valley Recovery Center.

If the sale goes through, the two public hospitals will become non-profit entities, and the public health system will use the sale to pay its creditors and bondholders, according to the report.
