Atlanta’s Emory Healthcare and HCA End Partnership on Two Hospitals

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare and Hospital Corporation of America have decided to end their partnership at two Atlanta-area hospitals, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

As part of the deal, Emory will take full ownership of Emory Johns Creek (Ga.) Hospital, and HCA will assume full ownership of Emory Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Ga.

The reason for the split was not disclosed. Transfer of ownership is expected to take several months, according to the report.
