“A number of our Health Ministries provide home care and related services today in their communities,” said Robert J. Henkel, president and CEO of Ascension Health. “We believe there is much to be learned by working with Evolution Health in a way that ensure the most effective and efficient care across our national health ministry in support of our mission of serving all persons.”
Initially, the joint venture will include five of Ascension Health’s 23 communities. The first phase of the agreement will begin at the end of 2014.
“Ascension has a history of developing innovative approaches to managing the care of patients, and we believe that partnering to deliver post-acute and home care services allows us to work together on improving patient outcomes and patient satisfaction,” said William A. Sanger, president and CEO of Envision.
