Alabama Health System, Hospital Seek Merger With Huntsville Hospital

Coffee Health Group, a two-hospital health system based in Florence, Ala., and Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Ala., are seeking a possible merger with Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital, according to a report by the Times Daily.

Coffee and Helen Keller submitted a proposal to Huntsville last week, which outlines a possible $60 million partnership, according to the report.

No further details of the proposal were released. Huntsville’s board is currently reviewing the proposal in committee.
