Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery acquires Denver skin clinic

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, a dermatology-focused practice based in Maitland, Fla., has acquired Denver Skin Clinic.

Founded in 1989, ADCS has more than 149 clinics in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Wyoming providing clinical, cosmetic, surgical and pathology services. ADCS also provides billing and coding management services for almost 90 third-party dermatology practices nationwide under the Ameriderm trade name. Denver Skin Clinic is a dermatology practice owned by Barbara Reed, MD, and Leslie Havard, MD.

Dr. Reed is the author of 24 scientific publications and a number of essays on practice philosophy and problems of integrating private practice in a managed care environment. Dr. Havard, a board-certified dermatologist, joined the Denver Skin Clinic in 2000 after completing a dermatology residency and immunodermatology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Matt Leavitt, MD, founder and CEO of ADCS, said in a prepared statement, "It's an honor to have Dr. Reed and Dr. Havard with their team (Peggy Liao, MD, and Hunter Sams, MD) on board with us at ADCS. They are extremely talented providers who have a combined 65 years experience in providing superior quality care to their patients."
