1. Glens Falls Hospital Joins Adirondack Health Institute
Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding to become a member of Queensbury, N.Y.-based Adirondack Health Institute.

2. UPenn Health System Strikes Alliance With Lancaster General
Lancaster (Pa.) General Health and University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia created a “strategic alliance” to improve healthcare at both health systems.

3. Saint Francis Hospital Chooses Westchester Medical Center as Buyer
Saint Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., filed papers with its bankruptcy court, choosing Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., as its acquirer.

4. Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Natividad Medical Center Partnership Proposal Progresses
Two Monterey County, Calif., supervisors were nominated to lead a committee that will craft a letter of intent to begin formal partnership negotiations between Natividad Medical Center and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, both public-owned hospitals located in Salinas, Calif.
