FTC Approves Hartford HealthCare, Hospital of Central Connecticut Affiliation

The Federal Trade Commission has approved an affiliation between Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare and The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, Conn., according to a Hartford HealthCare news release.

The affiliation between Hartford and Central Connecticut’s parent The Central Connecticut Health Alliance, is intended to improve quality and care coordination as well as help the systems more efficiently implement electronic medical records.

Since the 1990s, Hartford Hospital and The Hospital of Central Connecticut have worked together on a number of clinical and educational initiatives. The affiliation will strengthen this partnership.
