Community Health Systems to Sell Two Oklahoma Hospitals to Ardent Health

Hospital operator Community Health Systems, through its subsidiaries, will sell 180-bed SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., and 89-bed Claremore Regional Hospital in Claremore, Okla., to Ardent Health’s Tulsa, Okla.-based Hillcrest HealthCare System, according to a CHS release.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The sale is expected to close during the third quarter of 2011, according to the CHS release.

After the acquisition is complete, Hillcrest HealthCare System will include six hospitals with 1,159 licensed beds, more than 5,000 employees and more than 1,100 physicians, according to a Hillcrest release on the transaction.
