The Pennsylvania Insurance Department has scheduled a public hearing for the reorganization of health insurer Highmark for April 17, according to a Pittsburgh Business Times report.

At the hearing, which begins at 7 p.m. EST, state regulators will hear comments from interested parties on the planned reorganization, which would create a parent company called Ultimate Parent Entity to serve as an umbrella organization for Highmark’s insurance operations and West Penn Allegheny Health System.

Highmark announced it would acquire the struggling health system last summer. The deal awaits regulatory approval, but the insurer has already provided more than $175 million in funding to the system.
