Wyoming Medical Center in Casper and Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center have reportedly been meeting to establish a statewide accountable care organization, according to a Billings Gazette report.

WMC announced plans to explore the feasibility of a statewide ACO last November, and discussions with Cheyenne have intensified as regulations were finalized, according to the report.

WMC’s CEO, Vicki Diamond, recently said a statewide ACO may help resist the draw from out-of-state healthcare providers that draw patients elsewhere. WMC and CRMC are approximately 200 miles apart.
