St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center Acquires Surgery Practice

Syracuse, N.Y.-based St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center has acquired Upstate Surgical Group, P.C., an eight-physician general surgery group with locations in Liverpool and Fayetteville, N.Y.

The group is now part of St. Joseph’s Physicians but will function independently of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health. The deal creates a general surgery division within St. Joseph’s ambulatory services group, according to the news release.

No financial details of the acquisition were released by St. Joseph’s.
