Piedmont Healthcare to Publish Unedited Physician Reviews From Patients

Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta has become just the second health system in the nation to publish uncensored reviews from patients of their physicians.

The reviews are gathered by Press Ganey from verified patients, unlike reviews garnered by other healthcare review websites. Each review, regardless of whether it is positive or negative, will be posted on Piedmont’s website, piedmont.org.

“Publishing these reviews is about becoming more transparent about our customer experience and also empowering the public to make informed decisions about their health,” said Matt Gove, Piedmont’s chief marketing officer, in a news release.

Currently, about 210 Piedmont physician profiles have patient reviews, and more will be added to that category once they earn 30 or more reviews.

University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City was the first system to publish Press Ganey patient reviews of physicians, a move it made in 2012.
