The Klamath Falls location is OHSU’s second rural campus “hub” site. The first is in Coos Bay, where six students began classes Sept. 28, according to the Herald and News.

OHSU hopes the hub campuses will enhance rural communities’ recruitment efforts of physicians, pharmacists, dentists and other healthcare providers.

Officials said they’re considering adding a third hub site in northeastern Oregon.
